- What is yatt'it?
- yatt'it is Hyatt's very own online travel community where Hyatt Gold Passport members share their insider tips on worldwide travel.
- Who can use yatt'it?
- All visitors to the site have access to all the information yatt'it has to offer, such as tips by destination and category, FlightStats, Frommer's First-Time Travel Facts and access to a mobile version of yattit.com via your web-enabled hand-held device or cell phone.
However, only Hyatt Gold Passport members can contribute content to the site, including tips, comments and ratings, by logging into yattit.com. You must be a Hyatt Gold Passport member to join the yatt'it community. To join Hyatt Gold Passport, simply click the "Join Now" link at the top right of any page.
- What are the benefits of yatt'it?
- yatt'it gives you instant access to insider tips on worldwide travel provided by Hyatt Gold Passport members and Hyatt's knowledgeable concierges.
- Do I have to be a Hyatt Gold Passport Member to join yatt'it?
- Yes, all yatt'it members are Hyatt Gold Passport members. If you currently are not a Hyatt Gold Passport member, click on the "Join Now" link at the top right of any page to complete the simple enrollment process to become a member. You will then receive an e-mail confirming your membership with Hyatt Gold Passport. You may then use your Hyatt Gold Passport username and password to log in to yatt'it and begin contributing content.
If you currently are a Hyatt Gold Passport member, simply sign in to yatt'it with your Gold Passport username and password. You will be prompted to create a separate profile and Profile Name to be used for yattit.com.
- What are the three icons next to the tips?
- These icons are indicators for the source of the tips. See examples below:
Member: A member of the yatt'it community who is also a Hyatt Gold Passport member
Concierge: Hyatt Concierges who regularly contribute expert tips regarding their local destination
Frommer's: Destination Fast Facts and Entry Requirements provided by Frommer's
- Is yatt'it available in other languages?
- yatt'it is available in English only. However, yatt'it is global in the scope of its content and its accessibility and member base.
- Will more destinations be added in the future?
- Yes, more countries and cities will gradually be added to the site. If you have a suggestion for a particular destination, you can send a note to yattit.com via Contact Us.
LOGIN/PASSWORD
- What username and password do I use to log in to yatt'it?
- You should use your Hyatt Gold Passport username and password to log in to yatt'it. Please note your yatt'it Profile Name cannot be used to log in to yatt'it. Your Profile Name is for display purposes only within the yattit.com community.
- What if I forget my Hyatt Gold Passport password?
- If you forget your Hyatt Gold Passport password, simply click on the "Forgot Password?" link at the top of the page. You will then be prompted to provide your Gold Passport number and the e-mail address you used when registering with Hyatt Gold Passport. Your password will then be e-mailed to you. If you still experience sign in problems, you can visit goldpassport.com and click on the "Help Signing-in" link.
- Can I use my yatt'it Profile Name to sign in to yatt'it?
- No. Your Profile Name is for display purposes only within the yattit.com community to be associated with your tips. You should use your Gold Passport username and password to log into yatt'it.
- What's the difference between a yatt'it Profile Name and a Hyatt Gold Passport username?
- Your Profile Name is used solely for display purposes within the yattit.com community. Your Hyatt Gold Passport username and password will grant you access to yattit.com as well as goldpassport.com.
MEMBER PROFILES AND CONTENT
- Is my profile information available to everyone?
- Yes. Your yatt'it member profile is available to everyone. However, your Profile Name is the only required field for a yatt'it profile. Therefore, if you wish not to display any additional information other than your Profile Name, you can do so by removing all other content on your profile through the “Update Profile” page, which may be accessed via the “Edit Profile” link at the top right of all yatt’it pages.
- Do I have to use my real name and/or photo for my profile?
- No. You do not have to use your real name and/or an actual photo of yourself. You can choose an anonymous Profile Name to be displayed for your yatt'it profile. You may upload a personal photo of your choice or choose an image from the other default selections on the "Update Profile" page. You may visit the Posting Rules page for guidelines for posting content, including images, to yattit.com.
- How do I add destinations, categories and tippers to the “My Content” page?
- You can add destinations and categories/subjects to your “My Content” page through the “Favorites” page via the “Favorites” link, located at the top right of each yatt'it page. On the "Favorites" page you may conveniently select your favorite destinations and categories/subjects, which will then be accessible through your “My Content” page.
To add a tipper, or a member whose tips you like, click on the member's Profile Name, available on a tip or search results page. This will bring you to the member's "Profile" page. Click on the "+" sign icon near the member's profile image which says, "Add this member's tips to My Content." This tipper should now be in your Favorites list, which you can check by visiting the "My Content" page.
- Can I keep track of tips and comments I've posted?
- Actually, yatt’it does that for you. Just click on the “View Postings” link at the top right of any yatt’it page. You’ll have access to all the tips and comments you've submitted in addition to listings of all the favorites you've added, such as destinations, categories/subjects and tippers. All information accessed from this page is organized automatically by date so you have access to the most recent information on top.
- How do I prevent other members from seeing my profile information?
- The only required field for your profile is your Profile Name – you don't have to fill out or display any additional information if you wish not to. If you have already submitted information that you now wish to remove, simply click on the “Edit Profile” link at the top right of any yatt’it page and remove all information other than your Profile Name.

- Can I post a tip about a place/service that offers free goods or discounts?
- As long as your tip adheres to the Posting Rules, you may post a tip about free or discounted goods/services. Please note, however, that yattit.com should not be used as a space to advertise free goods or discounts. Also, postings regarding free or discounted goods/services that are irrelevant to travel, or the category/subject you have selected, may be removed at the discretion of the yatt'it Moderator.
- Can I post negative tips/comments about a place on yatt'it?
- Please visit our Posting Rules. Constructive and relevant criticisms are welcome. However yatt'it should not be used to address issues or complaints.
- Will my tips ever be removed or deleted from yatt'it? If so, why?
- The yatt'it Moderator reserves the right to remove tips, comments or profiles that do not adhere to the Posting Rules.
- Can I upload photos to go with my tips?
- Yes. yatt'it members are encouraged to add photos to illustrate their tips. However, members must be careful to adhere to copyright laws. If you do not own the copyright to an image or text, you must ask permission of the owner before posting. Any yatt'it member that posts copyrighted material will be held responsible for that posting. Tips and profiles that violate any copyright laws will be removed from the site.
- Why can't I upload my image?
- Please make sure your image is not any larger than 1mb and is in one of the following file formats: JPEG, TIFF or GIF.
- What is a "First-Time Traveler Tip"?
- A “First-Time Traveler Tip” is a tip that is helpful for people traveling to a city, country or region for the first time. Anyone posting a tip to yatt'it can designate that tip as a “First-Time Traveler Tip” by checking a box at the bottom of the “Post a Tip” page.
- How do you determine Tip of the Week?
- Tip of the Week is determined at the discretion of the yatt'it moderator. Criteria may include (but are not limited to):
- Quantity of tip
- The uniqueness of its information
- How appropriate its image, if there is one
- How can my tip become Tip of the Week?
- Any tip that is helpful and relevant to the community is eligible for Tip of the Week. Again, refer to the criteria above.
- How do I report offensive content?
- Although a yatt'it Moderator will be monitoring the site’s content continuously, it may happen that periodically an offensive tip, comment or profile is published. In this case, your assistance in keeping this community a positive and friendly environment would be much appreciated.
You can report a particular member's posted content as offensive by clicking on the "Report Offensive Content" icon link that is next to every tip and comment on the site. You can also report offensive content by visiting the “Contact Us” page and selecting "Report Offensive Content" as the subject line of your e-mail. The yatt'it Moderator will review the e-mail and reported content. You may visit Posting Rules for more information regarding offensive content.
- How do I add favorite tippers to “My Content” page?
- To add a tipper, or a member whose tips you like, click on the member's Profile Name, available on a tip or search results page. This will bring you to the member's “Profile” page. Click on the "+" sign icon near the member's profile image which says, "Add this member's tips to My Content." This tipper should now be in your favorites list, which you can check by visiting the “My Content” page.

- What makes the Concierge tips different from other tips?
- Tips marked with a Concierge icon are posted directly by Hyatt Concierges, and represent suggestions and advice straight from the experts on their local destination.
- Are Concierge tips actually from on-site Concierges at Hyatt destinations?
- Yes, Concierge tips are provided by Hyatt Concierges at the specific destination you have selected.
- Why are some tips labeled "Frommer's"?
- Through a partnership with Hyatt, Frommer's is supplying a selection of essential travel tips to yatt'it. These tips include Fast Facts and Entry Requirements, which will provide necessary information to travelers visiting a region or country for the first time.
- What is Frommer's?
- Since the 1957 publication of Arthur Frommer's revolutionary Europe on $5 a Day, the Frommer's collection of travel guidebooks and products offers candid and reliable information for the discerning traveler. Learn more about Frommer's at Frommers.com.

- What if someone posts an inappropriate comment on my tip?
- Although a yatt'it Moderator will be monitoring the site’s content continuously, it may happen that periodically an offensive comment is posted.
You can report a particular member's posted content as offensive by clicking on the "Report Offensive Content" link that is next to every tip and comment on the site. You can also report offensive content by visiting the “Contact Us” page and selecting "Report Offensive Content" as the subject line of your e-mail. The yatt'it Moderator will review the e-mail and reported content. You may visit Posting Rules for more information regarding offensive content.
- Can I comment multiple times on one tip?
- Yes, you may comment as many times on one tip as you would like. However, all comments must adhere to the Posting Rules.
- Can I comment on my own tip?
- Yes, you can comment on your own tip.
- What does "Overall Rating" mean?
- "Overall Rating" is the average of the total rating and the total number of votes.
- My tip has a low Overall Rating. How do I change that?
- Your Overall Rating is determined by averaging the total rating and the total number of votes. This process is automated through the system. If you feel there has been an error in calculating your Overall Rating, please submit your issue through the Contact Us page.
- Can I rate a tip more than once?
- You should not rate a tip more than once. Once you have submitted your rating, the rating is logged and counted in the system.
- Can I rate my own tip?
- Yes, you can rate your own tip.
