Carry lots of $1.00 Bills

While BA is incredibly cheap, I always take a lot of US$1.00 bills with me to leave as tips. The local waitstaff and service providers really appreacite receiving US dollars rather than pesos as a tip!

I take lots of US ones with me no matter where I travel. If I am going on a week or longer trip I stop by the bank and get a bundle of 25 ones. You never know when you might need them.
