Shopping for Leather

I was extremely excited when I had heard leather goods could be purchased for "cheap," when I was headed to Buenos Aires. After walking around the leather district, I was very disappointed to find that the "cheap" leather goods were also of very cheap quality. However, I came across a store called Casa López (there are a few stores in Buenos Aires), which was by no mean "cheap" in price, but
the quality of the leather was great and definitely cheaper than high quality leather goods sold in the US. I bought a gorgeous red leather purse for myself (which I've received many compliments on!) and also picked up something nice for my mother!

For excellent leather go to the Recoletta" district, close to the Buenos Aires Hyatt, and high quality merchandise of all kinds, designer clothing, jewelry etc can br purchased a very reasonable prices.

I agree completely. My wife and I found CASA LOPEZ several years ago and now vacation in B.A. about once a year and make that one of our primary stops!! My wife buys wonderful handbags that her girlfriends rave about, I bought a briefcase for under $100.00 that I saw a similar one for over $500.00 here, and we bought other items like wallets for our sons, a coat, etc. they have more than one outlet, and each one carries slightly different items. There are 2 stores off FLORIDA almost next to one
