Avoid taxi trouble

In Buenos Aires, excellent and safe taxi service is easily arranged by one's hotel. If that service is not used, make sure that any taxi used is a "radio taxi" which is the city's certified licensed taxis. Many problems can arise in an unlicensed cab; in our group, two separate incidents on the same day involved robbery by the taxi driver. The safest, as well as the most reliable, solution is to utilize the expertise of one's hotel staff in booking transportation.
