Places to stay in LA: I think that the Century City area is in a nice location a, with a relatively short trip to many things to do and see. If you are looking to wander around a lot of areas, Century City or Beverly Hills might be the best choice for someplace reasonably clean/nice and central. I suppose the best place to stay in LA really depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an eclectic beachy scene, santa monica can be nice in the right area.
