Should You Rent a Car When You Visit L.A.?

As far as transportation in L.A, renting a car is probably your best bet. Public transportation is not real efficient here and taxis can get pretty expensive. If you are only going to a couple of spots, you can probably get by with taxis. But if you plan to get around the city quite a bit, renting a car really is going to be your preferred option.

Keep in mind, however, that you generally have to pay to park wherever you go. You’ll find that most places have public lots with fees or parking meters. Ultimately, however, renting a car is still the best option. The city is very spread out so taxi fares can add up quickly.
