Kauai Northshore sites to see part 1

Kauai's Northshore extends from Moloa'a to Napali. It is several miles of beaches with great snorkeling, breathtaking cliffs, and lush greenery of the countryside. The town of Kilauea lies between the 22 and 24 mile markers.. Turn down Kilauea Road to see the Kilauea Lighthouse and the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge. The last mile to the Lighthouse is a narrow road so please proceed slowly. Kilauea Point is very famous its tropical birds such as shearwaters, boobies, frigates and monk seals on a rugged coastline.

Kalihiwai Valley is located at the 25 mile marker,is the site of the Kalihiwai River and a spectacular waterfall. To reach Anini Beach turn onto Kalihiwai Road on the Hanalei side of the bridge. At the dead end sign, take a left fork onto Anini Road. I would suggest for people who are beginner snorkelers and windsurfers and swimming to go to Anini Beach. There are also public restrooms, picnic tables and showers.
