Getting to the Airport

Atlanta has the worst traffic in the country (well almost). If coming to the airport from the north in the afternoon you need to know that it take over an hour to get through downtown in the afternoon traffic. Try going around I-285 or just take MARTA.

As we say, MARTA is SMARTA. Take it from your hotel if possible. Delta has baggage check-in when you come off MARTA and exit the station.

Almost the worst traffic? By far the worst compared to the size. When leaving either the Grand or Regency Hyatt's I would encourge MARTA, rather than a taxi. Its about the only way to ensure you will make your flight.
