It really is the easiest way, the train takes you right to the airport from many downtown destinations. It is easy to book a downtown hotel, fly in to the airport, and not worry about getting a rental car if all of your activities remain in walking distance. My mom also used to live right across from a Marta station, and took the train right in to work downtown!!
