Packing Tips
These are packing tips for the different seasons when you plan on visiting Phoenix-Scottsdale.
Lightweight clothing is preferred for most of the year (March-September). Layers of clothing will suffice during the short transitions of fall and spring. Sunscreen is a good idea for anyone in Arizona, especially those from out of state.
Even in the summer months many of the activities require long pants and close-toed shoes. Thus it is a good idea to bring both. An umbrella is a good idea for those with very light skin. Hats are strongly suggested in the summer months.
During the winter bring a sweater or light jacket to the valley of the sun. Northern, southern, and eastern Arizona are higher in elevation and much cooler. Bring a heavy coat and plan on some snow in winter months. As for footwear, sandals or tennis shoes are best most of the year.
