Traveling to/ from san jose? Take caltrain

Driving around the bay area makes for an awfully long (and slow) commute. If you're planning to visit from or to San Jose and SF do yourself a favor and buy a caltrain day pass. Caltrain starts all the way up in the SoMa district of SF a few blocks from Bart and the Embarcadero and heads down through Silicon Valley and into downtown San Jose. Tickets are based on how far you go but the trains are truly trains complete with decent seats, walking space and restrooms. During off times they run every 30 minutes (or less) so check the schedule. The train's also great if you plan to go up and catch a baseball game in the city.
