Park Hyatt Chicago--Shopping, Biking, Public Transportation
What a wonderful weekend beginning at the Park Hyatt! Want to save $$ on parking? We took the train from downstate Illinois. Union Station was convenient, and the trains were running on time and all for $50 roundtrip for 2--we couldn't have paid parking one night for that! Park Hyatt is a 5 minute walk to Water Tower Place (shopping), the Cheesecake Factory (great atmosphere), or The Grand Lux (wonderful food). We took public transportation from Union Station. You can get a visitor pass for $5 that will get you on a bus or the "L"/subway (CTA) all weekend. At no cost to the Park Hyatt guest, they offer bikes, helmets, maps, and even bottled water for you to take a ride for up to 4 hours along the lake! We biked to Navy Pier and stopped to enjoy Lake Michigan.
